Specialties

  • Even happy events such as a new job, getting married, having a baby, finishing school or buying a new home can cause stress, overwhelm, and uncertainty.

Negative events such as the death of a loved one, the loss of a job or relationship, a change in health status or living situation can throw our lives and emotions into a tailspin.

    And, my ‘specialty of specialties’

Empty Nesting…..a whole mess of feelings! New roles, new identities… Feeling lost, or perhaps, found… I know, I’ve been there….

New in town….transplanted workers… no connections, not knowing the area or resources…feeling alone & overwhelmed… Been there and done that, too!

Let me help you navigate these changes, find who you are and get you where you want to be.

  • I understand the unique challenges and stressors that we ‘helpers’, therapists, doctors, nurses and first responders, face in our daily work.

Whether you're struggling with burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, or the emotional toll of helping patients and their families, I get it, and can help.

I have a deep understanding of the medical and therapeutic fields and I am trained in a variety of evidence-based techniques to address the specific concerns of healthcare providers.

Needing self-care, stress management, and boundary-setting, or trauma processing, we can work together to develop a plan and techniques that ‘help you’.

  • Is chronic pain stopping you from enjoying your life?

I will teach you ways to manage your thinking about your pain, and change your focus and your story.

We will examine outside influences on your pain, triggers and pain behaviors, to process and change your relationship to them.

We will understand your pain reactions and better manage them using proven skills so you can be able to enjoy life again.

  • Sometimes the ‘same old, same old’ isn’t helping and a different way of looking at how our system is functioning can be beneficial.
